Backhand Slap (掌握 Shōaku?, "Grasping") is a throw used by Nina and Anna Williams from the first game onward. From Tekken Tag Tournament onward, Anna's version of the throw is called Chin Bash.
It is used to commence any set of the Backhand Slap Combo. From Tekken 4 onward, Nina can also perform a Backhand Slap as an Attack Reversal to counter an enemy left punch.
In Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Nina and Anna can perform special tag throws with this throw when paired each other.
Trivia
- In Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, the throw had a glitch, where attacking the enemy immediately would actually hit them with their back turned, similar to the Chicken glitch in the same game.[1]
