Lucky Chloe (ラッキークロエ Rakkī Kuroe?) is a character in the Tekken series who was introduced in Tekken 7 as one of the new playable characters.[3]

Biography

Personality

Through her intro and win poses, Lucky Chloe comes across as a playful, enthusiastic, always smiling young girl. She is a fan of Japanese culture and cats as told by the cat-ear headphones and the tail of a cat. In addition, she can be heard at times pronouncing the sound "nya", the Japanese sound of a cat's meow.

Despite Lucky Chloe's cute and playful façade she takes on as her idol persona during fights, it is revealed to be no more than a role. She is depicted as bratty and mean, as seen in Eddy's ending where she outsmarts Eddy by giving him a childish drawing after leading him to believe it was a note revealing Kazuya's whereabouts. In her own ending, she is shown to be controlling and does not hesitate to kick Eddy as she forces him to practice poses in preparation for becoming her back-up dancer. Furthermore, in Jack-7's ending, she blames Jack-7 for bumping into her despite her being the one not paying attention. She also shows no concern after witnessing Jack-7 falling off the G Corporation tower and presumably being destroyed due to this incident. Aside from this, the opening text of her Character Episode shows her to be confident in her skills, challenging Eddy to a fight even after he had defeated multiple G Corporation guards.

Appearance

Lucky Chloe is shown to have long, possibly ankle-length blonde hair tied into two mid-centered ponytails. She has blue eyes and she appears to sport neko-inspired clothing, such as pink headphones with a cat ear design and a black tail attached above her skirt.

Outfits

As her primary outfit, she wears a furry, pastel pink bolero jacket with her name on the back that covers her hands with pink buttons in a paw design underneath. She also wears a pink and black dress with a short, ruffled skirt, with laces in the back and a pink bow. There are what appears to be pink mini-speakers at her sides, as well as a black cat tail accessory. She has black thigh-high tights with a keyhole design in the front with a tiny heart at the top and pink knee pads covering her legs, as well as pink and white training shoes with black straps.

Story

Tekken 7

Character Episode Prologue: Lucky Chloe is a pop sensation, and the face of the G Corporation brand. When a mysterious man burst into G Corp and took out guard after guard with dance-like techniques, Lucky Chloe fearlessly walked right up to him and blocked his path.

She threw the man one of her trademark smiles and issued him a challenge: Fight her, and if he loses he'll have to work as her backing dancer! Without caring if he'd accepted the conditions or not, she prepared for battle.[4]

As a child, Chloe's parents took her to a Expo and exposed her to the Japanese Idol culture and since then, she has always wanted to be an Idol. With her good looks, she set out on being the world's best Idol and named herself Lucky Chloe.

Donning her cute costume, she went out to show the world her dance moves and put other pros to shame. She quickly became world famous when her dancing became viral on internet video sites.

Since then, she has collaborated with the G corporation and has signed a contract with them. She became a popular face of the company and is used in advertisements by the G Corporation as the company image. Despite the current struggle between G Corporation and the Mishima Zaibatsu, she always puts on a smile and happy face during these difficult times.[5]

Ending Description: Lucky Chloe teaches Eddy her signature pose, but notices him falling behind. Chloe kicks him for the error and demands he holds up his end of their bargain as her backup dancer. The two then proceed, with Eddy failing and Chloe kicking him each time. The scene finally ends with Eddy yelling "No!" after Chloe tells him that he will dress as a girl when they perform live.

Gameplay

Lucky Chloe has fast attacks and a good mix up game, and while her attacks are generally quite weak, she has good Combo options which allow her to rack up some big damage. Her range, however, is quite short, and she lacks in counter options and punishers, meaning she favors a more aggressive play style, keeping close to her opponent and applying constant pressure.

Lucky Chloe is unique in that her Rage Art can deal additional damage if the player correctly times their button presses in rhythm with the attacks landing on her opponent. There are three different versions of her Rage Art which depend on how many correctly timed inputs the player does.

Fighting Style

Lucky Chloe fights using Freestyle Dance, a style that seems very visibly similar to that of Capoeira, both of which incorporates dancing into martial arts.
