tekken

Slash Kick, called Slicer (スライサー Suraisā) in Japan, is a move used by Bruce Irvin since Tekken 2 and by Bryan Fury since Tekken 3. Since Tekken 4, Bryan can charge this move by holding 3 and will release a more powerful kick. Since Tekken 5, hitting the charged variant causes Bryan to automatically Taunt.

Usage

The Slash Kick has has the same hit property as Paul's Phoenix Smasher. Bruce's version of the Slash Kick simply knocks over the opponent on hit, but on a counter hit, it will send the opponent rolling, as was the case with the Phoenix Smasher in Tekken 2, and also has a clean hit property for extra damage. Bryan's version, being from Tekken 3, always causes the opponent to roll on hit like the Phoenix Smasher in that game but lacks a clean hit property. Bruce's version retained the Tekken 2 hit property in Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 5.

In Tekken 7, the attack triggers a Screw. In Tekken 8, the attack acts as a Heat Engager.
