Spring Cross Chop is a wake-up attack available to Paul Phoenix, Yoshimitsu, Kunimitsu, Kunimitsu II, Steve Fox, Craig Marduk (from Tekken 5 onward), Miguel Caballero Rojo, Ancient Ogre and True Ogre (in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 only), Combot (in Tekken Tag Tournament 2), Claudio Serafino, Gigas, and Jinpachi Mishima. It can only be performed while lying on the back with feet facing the opponent, otherwise known as the knockdown position. It is used in place of the generic Spring Kick.
The attack was removed in Tekken 8 and replaced with the generic Spring Kick.
Description
The user will perform a kip-up attack, then lunge into the opponent. The move can also be performed after rolling to the side.
Usage
Since Tekken 3, a Spring Cross Chop could be used to launch a guarding opponent as the recovery is significantly faster than the opponent's guard stun, however its use is limited due to the slow rolling animation which can be interrupted at any time.
