Urban Square is a stage in Tekken 8, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York. The stage has two versions; a day version, and an evening version.
Description
This stage takes place in the midst of a large city square in New York City, where the fighters are surrounded by tall buildings with large electronic billboards advertising fictional brands, some of which include Ortiz Coffee, Violet Systems' Combots, and Smith Coffee. The fighting area itself is closed off using mobile, metal fencing, police cars, green traffic cones, cafe tables, large cement planters with tall plants growing from them, booths selling food, drink, and newspapers, and phone booths which can be damaged by the characters. To one side is a large red set of stands where a few spectators are watching the fight. Nearer to the fighters is a sculpture of a hand gripping a globe. On the opposite side of the stage, there is a statue of Leroy Smith next to his dog, Sugar, commemorating his efforts in liberating the city from gang violence.[1]
There is also an evening version of this stage where the fight takes place at sunset in the first round. At match point, the time will change to night, and snow can be seen falling.

Trivia
- The stage is based on the real-life location of Times Square in New York City, but with a few of the buildings modified from their real-life counterparts, including different advertisements on the billboards for fictional companies.
- One of the buildings in the stage is named "Bob Burger". This is likely based on two references, the franchise's character Robert "Bob" Richards, and Fox's animated series Bob's Burgers.
- One of the the background characters in the crowd is wearing the King II's Cartoon Mask Customization Item from Tekken 5/Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6. This mask was later added as a Fight Pass reward for the Fall 2024 Round.
- Multiple images of this stage are used in Tekken 8's endings, and this stage is also used as the location for Nina Williams's character episode.
- The statue of Leroy and Sugar is based on the real-life statue of George M. Cohan.
- As of the 1.08.00 patch, the day version and the evening version of this stage have been combined into a single panel, allowing the player to switch between the two in the stage select screen.
- During the period of patch 1.08.00 to 1.10.00, the billboards contained advertisements for Nike.
- As of the v2.02 Patch, the billboards contain advertisements for Karate Kid: Legends.
